Visit the Neighbors

Today we met Saito san. He is the neighborhood leader and will take us to meet all the neighbors next Sunday (all 13 of them). We are expected to bring a small gift for each neighbor, usually a towel or some small item which demonstrates our good feelings for the neighborhood. It was cold with a very strong wind today. I re-traced on foot the way ML found for me to walk or bike to work. It took 16 minutes to the gate so I think that I will be walking almost every day until my bike arrives. Some days I will plan to bike to work. In the PM, we went food shopping and stocked up on kerosene for the next week.
